New article by Andréanne Bernier!

Our team has just published a brand-new article on chronic pain management, a subject that affects many people!

Did you know that one in five Canadians lives with this health problem? While we recognize that nurses can play an important role in managing chronic pain, their role remains underdeveloped. This has social and economic repercussions across the country.

Andréanne Bernier, who is completing her doctorate in nursing, worked with her co-directors, Profs Marie-Eve Poitras (Université de Sherbrooke) and Anaïs Lacasse (Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue). Together, through this review of studies, they show how nurses already play a key role in chronic disease management. This conclusion is in line with the Quebec Action Plan on Chronic Pain, which aims to place nurses at the heart of chronic pain management.
