This article presents a scoping review protocol to analyze the integration of Patient-Oriented Research principles in healthcare institutions.
This type of research, which is tending to become the benchmark worldwide, values the participation of patients and their families as equal partners with researchers, healthcare professionals and administrative decision-makers.
Although these principles are increasingly put into practice, their integration into organizations remains poorly documented and applied. Based on a research question developed by one of our patient-partner colleagues, this article aims to identify the organizational structures and changes that promote or hinder the integration of patient-centred research principles in healthcare institutions to make their application and deployment more concrete.
